We greatly appreciate your interest in supporting the Elville Center with your musical instrument donation to our charity.
It is our mission to “Make a Musical Difference in the Lives of Children” each day by working with school music programs and other organizations to provide donated musical instruments to students that want to participate in music but don’t have the means to do so on their own. We also support educational initiatives in schools and other organizations such as The Columbia Orchestra as well as a very strong relationship with the Baltimore Classical Guitar Society.
As it relates to your musical instrument donation, once refurbished with the help of our friends at The Band Shoppe Sykesville, it would go to support one of our school music programs we partner with and be put in the hands of a child that wants to participate in music but can’t rent or purchase an instrument on their own.
Along with your instrument donation being tax-deductible, any monetary donation you able to provide to support the Elville Center would be tax-deductible as well and most appreciated, and I furnish a tax donation letter with all instrument and monetary donations. We ensure all instruments are in excellent playing condition, have very good cases and other supplies including bows, reeds, and valve/slide oils before donating them to schools and organizations. Refurbishing instruments is very expensive and typically run between $50 and $400 per instrument, and every monetary donation helps our charity significantly, so we appreciate your consideration very much.
Donations can be dropped off at our office in Columbia at 7100 Columbia Gateway Drive, Suite 190, Columbia 21046 between 9 and 5 and we can find a convenient time to meet, or you can simply stop by and if I’m not in the office our receptionist, Stephanie, will gladly accept your donation.
Thank you again for your interest in the Elville Center for the Creative Arts and we are grateful for your support!
With appreciation,
