We greatly appreciate your interest in supporting the Elville Center with your musical instrument donation to our charity.

It is our mission to “Make a Musical Difference in the Lives of Children” each day by working with school music programs and other organizations to provide donated musical instruments to students that want to participate in music but don’t have the means to do so on their own.  We also support educational initiatives in schools and other organizations such as the Annapolis Symphony Orchestra’s Annapolis Symphony Academy as well as a very strong relationship with the Baltimore Classical Guitar Society.  Our winter charity update also discusses other initiatives we’ve been working on as well, which can be found here -- https://elvillecenter.org/the-elville-center-for-the-creative-arts-update-for-january-2022-furthering-our-commitment-to-provide-music-education-for-all-who-seek-it/

As it relates to your musical instrument donation, once refurbished with the help of our friends at Music & Arts of Severna Park, it would go to support one of our school music programs we partner with and be put in the hands of a child that wants to participate in music but can’t rent or purchase a trumpet on his or her own.

Along with your instrument donation being tax-deductible, any monetary donation you may be interested in providing to support the Elville Center would be tax-deductible as well and most appreciated, and I furnish a tax donation letter with all instrument and monetary donations.  For this letter, I simply need your full name and home address for the letter (to be used solely for this purpose).  If you’re interested in donating to help with some of the many expenses we have here at the charity, you can visit here -- https://elvillecenter.org/donate/.  We ensure all instruments are in excellent playing condition, have very good cases and other items such as bows, reeds, and valve/slide oils before donating them to schools or organizations.  Refurbishing instruments is very expensive and typically run between $50 and $200 per instrument, and every monetary donation helps our charity significantly, so we appreciate your consideration very much.

Either way, we would gladly accept and appreciate your musical instrument donation and it would find a very good home.  If you’d like to drop off your donation, you can visit our office in Columbia at 7100 Columbia Gateway Drive, Suite 190, Columbia 21046 between 9 and 5 and we can find a convenient time to meet, or you can simply stop by and if I’m not in the office our receptionist, Megan, will gladly accept your donation.
